Pet of The Week

Sherbert is a 2½-year-old American pit bull terrier mix, who likes to show that she is as sweet as her name.

Found in June as a stray, Sherbert has been cooped up in a kennel far too long. She enjoys playing with toys and, understandably, is very happy to get outside for walks with volunteers.

Although selective about canine friends, she is friendly with many of the other shelter dogs. It appears she has had some training, as she is clearly housebroken and knows the sit command.

Sherbert is healthy and already spayed. She is one of 17 pit bull mixes, currently available for adoption, and is eager to find a loving and active home to match her sweet personality.

Adoption fees are discounted 50% for all adult pit bull mixes. Come visit the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com.
