The Fingerhut Gallery, at 210 Forest Ave. in Laguna Beach, is slated to present an exhibition of works by Grace Slick on Saturday.
The former model and singer, known for her time with Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship, will be at the venue from 6 to 9 p.m.
“You can come to the gallery, hang out, slurp up some refreshments, chat with yours truly, look at my paintings, buy them or not, then go home and talk about what a semi-talented weirdo Grace Slick is,” the artist wrote in a news release.

The JoAnne Artman Gallery in Laguna Beach recently announced that it will participate at the Affordable Art Fair in New York City from April 2 to 6.
Artwork by Alberto Murillo, Anja Van Herle, Brooke Shaden, James Verbicky, Jana Cruder and others will be showcased.
The event, hosted at the Metropolitan Pavilion, was launched in London in 1999. Today, art enthusiasts flock to the fair, which travels to Amsterdam, Brussels, Melbourne, Milan, Paris and elsewhere, to purchase original contemporary artwork priced below $10,000.

The R Star Foundation, which serves and educates women and children in Nepal, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a fundraiser at Tivoli Terrace, 650 Laguna Canyon Road, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The event will include a live auction of items and packages featuring private plane tours over Los Angeles and Orange County, a nighttime helicopter flight, sailing and a sculpture by artist Joe Sovella. A silent auction will include handmade quilts, jewelry, wine, plants and more.
A belly dancing troupe will entertain, along with musician Joe Baldwin and Gita Silwal, who will perform a traditional Nepali folk dance.
