Peaches arrived as a stray at the shelter last month. She was terrified and would barely move — cowering in the corner of her kennel.

However, within a few days, she began to trust those who treated her gently and offered affection. Soon, she took a few steps and her tail began to wag. Her personality eventually reflected her sweet name.

She is now eager for walks, loves to be held and displays a delightful attitude. Thought to be a 5-year-old terrier mix, Peaches weighs under 10 pounds. She is healthy, quiet and apparently house-trained.
