Two injured in crash at Bristol and Irvine

One man had to be cut out of his vehicle Wednesday morning after a two-car crash in Newport Beach.

Two cars collided at 11:44 a.m.at Bristol Street and Irvine Avenue, sending one of the vehicles into a gas station parking lot, firefighters said.

The cause of the crash has not been determined. One person was sent to Western Medical Center’s trauma unit in Santa Ana; the other went to Hoag Hospital.

Police are investigating the crash.
