It’s a winter wonderland at the Sawdust Festival grounds in Laguna Beach

All the Sawdust Festival wants for Christmas is for visitors to go to Laguna Beach for the 29th annual Winter Fantasy.

Starting Saturday and continuing on weekends through Dec. 22, the festival grounds at 935 Laguna Canyon Road will be open to the public for what Sawdust calls “an outdoor winter wonderland nestled in a 3-acre eucalyptus grove.”

Winter Fantasy will feature three stages for live music, holiday-themed classes, artwork in different media, carolers, a petting zoo, marionette shows and more.

The festival also had its community tree-lighting ceremony Saturday. The event featured a performance from the Top of the World Elementary School Honor Choir and more than a dozen trees decorated by local nonprofit groups, organizers said.

Winter Fantasy tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, $4 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger. Season passes are $12. Active military service members and veterans can attend for free along with three family members.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit sawdustartfestival.org/festivals/winter-fantasy.
