Police officers and the HB1 police helicopter searched the downtown area, Carey said, before residential video surveillance aided the department’s fire arson investigators in arresting Begay later that night.

He was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday without incident near the Dairy Queen at Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street, Carey said.
