Multiple apartment units on different floors were in flames. The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes of firefighters arriving on the scene and extinguished within half an hour, but units remained on scene for at least two hours after the fact for overhaul. About 61 firefighters responded.

As of Friday afternoon it was unclear how many people had been displaced by the blaze. No injuries were reported.

Early investigation determined that the fire likely began in a second-story apartment, then extended up two units on the third floor and further by two units on the fourth floor.
