Meeting to be about playground equipment

The city will be holding two informal question-and-answer sessions to discuss the replacement of the Main Beach playground equipment. The meetings are 9 a.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday at the playground, 107 S. Coast Hwy., according to the city manager’s weekly update.

A public hearing is also scheduled for Aug. 15. during the Planning Commission’s meeting.

Construction to replace the equipment is set for the fall.

Sewer lift testing to being Friday

Power for the Main Beach Lift Station was scheduled for Friday, according the city manager’s weekly email.

Testing of the lift station is set to begin immediately after the power testing, and will include recirculating clean water for several weeks, the email said.

The testing will address failure simulations as well as the city’s emergency bypass pumping connections.
