‘Better depiction’ photos of robbery suspect released
Laguna Beach police have released new surveillance photos they believe show the Ho-hum Bandit of 12 bank robberies in Orange, San Diego and Riverside Counties, including robberies on June 23 and July 24 at the US Bank in Laguna Beach and a Citybank in Corona del Mar on June 11 and July 23.
The photos are from a bank robbery in Cathedral City and are a better depiction of the suspect than photos previously released, Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Louise Callus said.
“The suspect has not shown a weapon in any of the robberies but has implied that he has a gun,” she said in a news statement.
The suspect is described as a white male, 28 to 35 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with red hair and sideburns, and a light complexion with red freckles.
Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Det. Larry Bammer at (949) 497-0373 or lbammer@lagunabeachcity.net, or the watch commander at (949) 497-0701 after business hours.
