Laguna officers arrest transgender woman on prostitution charges

A Stanton man who identifies as a woman was arrested on prostitution and drug charges Thursday, after undercover officers answered an ad on Craig’s List.

Erasto Vazquez, 37, had advertised herself as a female available for sex and drugs, according to Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Louise Callus. Vazquez was dressed as a female when she met with officers. The suspect identifies as a transgender woman, Callus said, but is pre-op.

Laguna Beach officers arranged to meet Vazquez in a hotel in the 900 block of North Coast Highway, where she was arrested for alleged prostitution and possession of a controlled substance.
