OBITUARY OF
GAYL FOLEY

Gayl Foley long-time resident and well-known artist from Laguna Beach passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012.

Born July 21, 1934, in Minneapolis, MN. Her family moved to California in 1947. She graduated from Santa Ana HS and attended Santa Ana Jr. College before moving to Laguna Beach where she lived for over 40 years before losing her battle with lung cancer.

She had many loves in her life, including her numerous pets, traveling the United States and Mexico, studying, teaching and creating art, her neighbors in the canyon as well as her many artistic peers, but especially her dear long-time partner and husband, Bill Foley.

She was a mentor to many local artists and her own unique talent earned her a presence in the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts as well as involvement with the Sawdust Festival.

She is survived by her brother William Stenlund, sister-in-law Nita Stenlund of Cathedral City, CA and nephews Gary and David Stenlund.

A mass is to be held at St. Catherine of Siena, Laguna Beach, CA December 15th 2012, at 1:30 PM..
