Laguna to host business workshop

Laguna Beach will host its next Open for Business workshop Feb. 12 at the Community & Susi Q Center.

“Many prospective business people want to discuss their issues before they initiate formal applications with the city,” Anne Johnson, planning commissioner and workshop coordinator, said in a news release. “Just discussing their concerns and issues informally seems to help.”

As a result of the workshops last year, several new businesses came to Laguna Beach, and others are in the planning stages, according to the release.

Participants will include planning commissioners Norm Grossman and Linda Dietrich, representatives from the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce and city Planning Manager Ann Larson.

The free workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the center, 380 Third. St.
