Police files for Jan. 22

North Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 1400 block at 1:06 p.m. Monday. A guest at the Art Hotel said two bags were stolen from her room.

South Coast Highway: Fraud was reported in the 800 block at 2:02 p.m. Monday. A caller reported a guest at the Laguna Riviera left without paying her $6,500 bill.

Glenneyre Street: A disorderly person was reported in the 300 block at 3:38 p.m. Monday. A man was reportedly spitting at passing cars.

Cliff Drive: Burglary was reported in the 500 block at 4:51 p.m. Monday. A caller said a jewelry box was stolen.

North Coast Highway: Vandalism was reported in the 600 block at 5:25 p.m. Monday. A caller reported a Jeep Grand Cherokee’s back window had been smashed.

Bluff Drive: Drinking in public was reported at Tablerock Beach at 4:02 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported teenagers were drinking.

Laguna Canyon Road: Vehicle burglary was reported in the 20200 block at 4:34 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported a purse with $700 was stolen from a white Audi Q5.

Mermaid Street: A suspicious person was reported in the 300 block at 8:09 p.m. Sunday. A tenant said a man tried to enter a residence while the owners were out of town.

Through Street and Park Avenue: Vandalism was reported at 8:43 a.m. Saturday. A woman found a knife lodged near the window of her car door.

South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 1300 block at 11:29 a.m. Saturday. Plants worth $805 were reported stolen from Laguna Nursery.

Coast Highway: Drinking in public was reported at Thousand Steps Beach at 1:55 p.m. Saturday. Six people were seen drinking beer and smoking marijuana.

Park Avenue and Through Street: Vehicle burglary was reported at 6:16 p.m. Saturday. A caller reported a man smashed a window and stole a bag from the trunk of a Toyota Corolla.
