City to hold workshop on electronic building plans

The city will be holding an electronic-building-plan workshop July 29 in City Council chambers.

In an effort to improve the process of submitting building plans, Deputy Building Official Issam Shahrouri will discuss procedures and requirements during the workshop, which is being held from 1:30 to 3 p.m., according to the city’s website.

Architects, designers and others can learn about the software used for plan review, the procedures for plan submittals and the benefits of electronic reviews. The Community Development Department encourages applicants and design team members to submit their plans for major remodels and new construction projects electronically.
