The gathering will also feature a silent auction as garden proponents work to raise funds for a permanent site. The park is at Eagle Rock Way and South Coast Highway.

More than 150 volunteers are caring for 53 plots in addition to vines and flowers along the park’s borders, according to a news release.

In June, the Laguna Beach City Council voted 4 to 1 to earmark $250,000 toward the acquisition of a permanent site with the stipulation that garden park organizers raise the remaining cost of the land. So far, park proponents have raised $150,000, according to the release.

The park, overseen by the South Laguna Civic Assn, is open to the public every day for picnicking and enjoyment, as well as for tours, art classes and workshops.

The Ranch, formerly Aliso Creek Inn & Golf Course, is located at 31106 Coast Hwy.
