Kashkari helps open Laguna GOP campaign headquarters

Laguna Beach Republicans opened their 2014 election campaign headquarters Saturday with an appearance by the GOP’s candidate in the California gubernatorial race, Laguna’s own Neel Kashkari.

He and Republican candidates in some other races in the November election gathered at the office at 2075B Laguna Canyon Road for a rally and precinct walk, followed by a barbecue and music.

Howard Hill, president of Laguna Beach Republicans, said the headquarters will be used to produce information for voters and as a place for south Orange County Republicans to gather. “It’s voter education for Republicans,” Hill said.

Staffing is by volunteers, so the office does not have set hours, he said. Appointments are available by email at lagunabeachgop@gmail.com.
