Fire stations open doors to guests

All four Laguna Beach fire stations were on public display Saturday as guests got a firsthand glimpse into firefighters’ accommodations and equipment.

The tours were the culmination of the National Fire Protection Assn.’s weeklong awareness project, Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives, which aims to remind Laguna Beach residents to check that their smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms are operating properly.

The city Fire Department offers free batteries and smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to residents of Laguna. For more information, visit https://www.lagunabeachcity.net.
