Community garden to host a festival Sunday
The public is invited to a fall festival with live music and a potluck at the South Laguna Community Garden Park on Sunday.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a dish that feeds 10 and their own drinks and silverware, since this is a zero-waste event, according to a news release.
Volunteers maintain the park, which offers residents the opportunity to grow crops at a quarter-acre parcel at South Coast Highway and Eagle Rock Way.
Supporters are raising money to find a permanent place for the garden. Earlier this year, the Laguna Beach City Council agreed to contribute $250,000 for the land if volunteers could raise the remainder, which has yet to be determined.
The festival runs from 2 to 5 p.m.
