Vegetation blocking your view? File a preservation or restoration claim

Forms for filing either a view preservation or restoration claim are now available at the Laguna Beach Community Development Department at City Hall or the city’s website, according to a news release.

The City Council approved an amended view preservation and restoration ordinance in June, giving residents recourse for reclaiming views lost to overgrown trees or other vegetation.

To help implement the ordinance, the city named code enforcement Officer Tony Farr associate planner for view restoration, said Community Development Director Greg Pfost.

Farr, a city employee for six years, has a background in horticulture and hedge height claims, which will be helpful in providing this new service, the release says.

City Hall is located at 505 Forest Ave.
