Public input on Costa Mesa charter sought
COSTA MESA — The public is invited to offer their suggestions for a proposed city charter at a special City Council meeting Tuesday.
On the heels of an informational meeting earlier this week, the council’s first official city charter meeting will be at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive.
The meeting is one of two that state law requires the city to put on ahead of allowing the public to vote on a charter.
Despite previous city reports that the public had only until Tuesday to offer additions or deletions from the charter, the council will consider changes to the charter up to the second official charter meeting Feb. 14.
The public can also submit suggestions at https://www.costamesaca.gov.
A list of residents’ suggestions can be found on the city’s site, too, and will be periodically updated.
