Police arrest ‘peeping Tom’ suspect at OCC

Police arrested a Santa Ana man on suspicion of peering into an occupied restroom stall at Orange Coast College, police said Thursday.

Steven Anthony Sender, 42, was allegedly in a women’s restroom on the campus about noon Tuesday. A friend of the victim allegedly spotted him looking into the stall, according to Costa Mesa police.

The women reported the incident to campus security, who then contacted Sender outside the restroom, police said. Initially Sender was compliant and apologetic, but then he attempted to run from campus safety officers.

He was detained after a brief struggle, according to Costa Mesa police.

Sender was being held without bail on a parole violation hold.
