Woman dies after fall from building

A woman who reportedly jumped or fell off a building near MacArthur Boulevard and Jamboree Road was declared dead Friday, authorities said.

Authorities received a call for medical aid in the 19000 block of MacArthur at 11:30 a.m. Friday, said Irvine Police Department spokeswoman Lt. Julia Engen.

The woman, described as in her 40s, was declared dead at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana after falling off a building nearGoogle’sIrvine office in what appeared to be a suicide, said Orange County Fire Authority spokesman Kris Concepcion.

An official cause of death has yet to be determined by the Orange County Coroner, Concepcion said.

Her identity was not released.
