Foundation hosts fundraiser for TeWinkle, Estancia

Get ready for a night of glitz and old Hollywood glamour Saturday while supporting two Costa Mesa schools.

The Estancia & TeWinkle Schools Foundation is hosting its fifth annual gala, themed “Some Like it Hot,” Saturday at the Mesa Verde Country Club to raise money for TeWinkle Middle and Estancia High schools.

The event will feature a martini bar, hor d’oeuvres, casino tables, a buffet dinner and dancing. There will also be a silent and live action.

Estancia alumni Joe Drake, former president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, and Jon Gray, the chief executive of Talon Automotive Group, will be honored as distinguished graduates.

The schools foundation has given more than $40,000 annually over the last seven years to the two Costa Mesa campuses and hopes to raise $20,000 this year.
