Sage Hill alums head abroad to teach
Three Sage Hill School alumni will teach around the world next year as part of a prestigious international educational exchange program.
Sage Hill class of 2008’s Karam Sethi, Everett “Alex” Heiney and Heather Siegel were accepted in to the Fulbright Program for 2012-13.
Sethi will serve in Malaysia teaching English at a primary or secondary school, where he also wants to teach photography basics and start a soccer league. He graduated this year from Connecticut College as an international relations major with a concentration in national security.
Heiney will teach English in the country of Georgia and wants to start a program to teach locals land navigation skills. He graduated this year from Claremont McKenna College as a government major.
Siegel will teach at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. She also graduated this year from Claremont McKenna College. A double major in French and government, she was named valedictorian of her college class.
