Crew coach teaching rowing classes at OCC

There is nothing more Southern Californian than exercising in the ocean.

Residents can learn the basics of rowing, or freshen up their skills, during a four-day community class through Orange Coast College. OCC Crew Coach Laura Behr will teach the Learn to Row class.

The college is offering two sessions beginning Aug. 1 and 8. Each session runs from noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the OCC Sailing Center, 1801 W. Coast Hwy. in Newport Beach.

Registration is $150 per session.
