Back Bay Drive closing for pipe replacement

Back Bay Drive between San Joaquin Hills Road and Eastbluff Drive will be closed to drivers from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday, a Newport Beach city news release said.

Crews for city contractor Kilbride Construction are scheduled to replace a drainage pipe, according to the release.

The area will be open to cyclists and foot traffic during construction, but the city asks any users to be careful approaching the area and to comply with any project safety instructions, like staying out of certain lanes or closed areas.
