Service set for Irvine Co.’s Raymond Watson
Friends, colleagues and members of the public are invited to remember architect Raymond Watson at a service Nov. 11.
Watson, a longtime Newport Beach resident who died at age 86 on Oct. 20 had a major hand in creating Irvine’s master plan and once ran Walt Disney productions. He also served as president of the Irvine Co.
Between 500 and 700 people are expected to attend the memorial and following reception at the UC Irvine Student Center’s Pacific Ballroom from 2 to about 3:30 p.m.
