A tortoiseshell cat, like the cat pictured, was spotted in the Fashion Island parking lot near Chase Bank. The friendly cat meows when spoken to, but was unapproachable.

A Promontory Point resident reported kittens running in the parking lot of the Newport Beach Bristol Farms, too.

Although everyone has been generous, donations for the “eyelash kittens” are coming in slowly.
