Kids start New Year’s celebration early at Irvine museum

With midnight probably past the bedtime of many of those in attendance, Pretend City Children’s Museum in Irvine hosted a New Year’s Eve party for the younger set Wednesday afternoon.

The annual Noon-Year’s Confetti Countdown, held every two hours between noon and 4 p.m., offered stories, an art project and even a New Year’s countdown with streamers and noisemakers.
