Seeing red

Calling all tomato lovers: More than 150 varieties of tomatoes will be on sale this weekend as part of the annual Tomatomania! event at Roger’s Gardens in Newport Beach.

Friday through Sunday, patrons can browse the wide assortment of heirloom and hybrid tomato seedlings. Visitors are also invited to attend various tomato-related events, such as seminars on the basics of tomato-growing and on how to grow tomatoes in a small space.
