Irvine man kidnapped, found injured in Yorba Linda house, police say
A 49-year-old Irvine man who was forced into a car and kidnapped in broad daylight was discovered inside a Yorba Linda residence suffering from fractures and contusions, authorities said Friday.
Police said they have arrested multiple suspects in connection with the crime.
Police in Placentia, who patrol neighboring Yorba Linda, said they went to the 1100 block of E. Imperial Highway on Wednesday morning after a witness reported seeing a group of men beating the man.
The witness told police the group dragged the man to a nearby vehicle, forced him into it and sped away.
“Officers located a significant amount of blood and other evidence at the crime scene,” police said in a statement.
Detectives said they located the man the next day in a Yorba Linda residence. He had several broken bones and contusions, police said.
He was taken to a hospital where he remains in serious condition. Police said the man, who was not identified, was expected to survive.
Authorities declined to name the suspects or release any additional information because the investigation was ongoing.
