A 44-year-old Irvine woman was sentenced Friday to three years and four months in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage boys who spent time at her house with friends.

An Orange County Superior Court Judge also ordered Nicole Ethel McMillen to register as a sex offender, according to a news release from the Orange County district attorney’s office.

McMillen touched a 14-year-old’s groin and twice had oral sex with him at her home in 2012, prosecutors said.

Youths would often spend time at McMillen’s house, where they would watch movies or play video games with her children or other friends, according to the district attorney’s office.

McMillen’s second victim was a 16-year-old boy with whom she had a sexual relationship for more than a year starting in 2005, prosecutors said.

Irvine police uncovered McMillen’s crimes after the 14-year-old told his mother about the sexual contact.

In October, a jury convicted McMillen of four felony counts of lewd acts upon a child and three felony counts of oral copulation of a minor under 16 years old.

McMillen worked with kindergartners as a behavioral interventionist at Peter’s Canyon Elementary School in Tustin and elsewhere in the Tustin Unified School District during the time she sexually abused the two boys.
