College district names manager of the year

The Coast Community College District, which operates Orange Coast College, honored one of its employees by naming her manager of the year for its headquarters site in Costa Mesa, the district announced Friday.

Martha Parham, director of public affairs, marketing and government relations, won the award June 7 at the district’s management association mixer.

Parham’s duties include strengthening community relations, lobbying legislators on students’ behalf and serving as executive director of the district’s foundation, according to a news release from the district.

“Martha is extremely knowledgeable and, coupled with her skills, has done an outstanding job in promoting the district locally and nationwide,” Board of Trustees President Lorraine Prinsky said in a prepared statement. “She is truly deserving of this honor.”
