Fairview advisory panel to meet in park for tour

The second meeting of the newly reconvened Fairview Park Citizens Advisory Committee takes place Saturday at Fairview Park.

The public is invited to join city staff and committee members at 8 a.m. in the Costa Mesa park, 2501 Placentia Ave. The initial meeting spot is the picnic area at the south end of the park’s parking lot off Placentia.

After a public comment period, city officials will conduct a tour of the park for all attendees. No action will be taken during the meeting; it is purely informational.

City officials warned that the tour will require some walking on dirt paths, grass, uneven surfaces and steep slopes.

The committee is next set to meet in July, but a time, date and place has yet not been confirmed.
