Coupons are worth money off fair admission

Live in Costa Mesa? Love the annual paean to all things fried, fun and festive that is the Orange County Fair?

Then you’re in luck, according to the city of Costa Mesa, which is distributing coupons worth $2 off admission to the fair for up to eight people per household.

Costa Mesa residents can pick up two tickets — each of which will get them the $2 discount on up to four people — from the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, or at the Neighborhood Community Center in Lions Park, 1845 Park Avenue.

The coupons will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

General admission to the fair, which runs Wednesdays through Sundays from July 11 to Aug. 10, is $12.

The fair will recognize Costa Mesa, along with Newport Beach and Fountain Valley, with a special ceremony outside the Hangar on their shared city day, July 30.
