Bank awards grants to local groups
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently awarded grants to four area nonprofits, according to a Bank of America news release.
The Girls Inc. of Orange County chapter and Working Wardrobes, both of Costa Mesa, each received $10,000.
The Orange County United Way, based in Irvine, received $50,000. MIND Research Institute, also in Irvine, received $20,000.
The four organizations were among 16 in Orange County to receive portions of $317,500 in awarded grants.
“When people in Orange County work to support the community with such needs as financial education and job skills training, the Orange County community succeeds,” said Allen Staff, Bank of America’s Orange County market president.
