Just call them the comeback cows. The OC Fair reintroduced the Cattle Drive Saturday morning after a seven-year hiatus.

A team of around 70 horsemen and seven cattle-herding dogs accompanied the parade of 200 livestock through the streets of Costa Mesa.

They embarked on their 2 1/2-mile expedition from the cross street of Adams Avenue and Pinecreek Drive, near Orange Coast College’s softball field. After marching down parts of Adams, Mesa Verde Drive East, Harbor Boulevard and Fair Drive, the drive reached its final destination, Gate 2 of the OC Fair.
