Vanguard named one of top schools for veterans
U.S. News & World Report named Vanguard University in Costa Mesa one of the top regional colleges in the West for veterans.
In addition to being named the fifth best school for veterans, Vanguard also held onto its spot in the top 12 best regional colleges in the West, according to the 2015 edition of Best Colleges released this week.
U.S. News & World Report annually compares data on nearly 1,800 schools nationwide to help parents and students navigate their options for higher education, according to a news release.
To determine which colleges and universities are veteran-friendly, the publication scores schools based on their participation in federal initiatives that help veterans and active-duty service members fund and complete their degrees.
Vanguard’s Veterans Center offers career counseling, academic support and assistance in finding veterans benefits and tuition assistance, the release stated.
