Fountain Valley Police Department celebrates 50 years with dogs, demos and tours

The Fountain Valley Police Department celebrated its 50th anniversary with its people — and its dogs — during an open house Saturday.

The department invited the public to its headquarters at 10200 Slater Ave. for free tours, police dog demonstrations and a SWAT team demo.

The city itself is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
