Fairgrounds is all about animals as America’s Family Pet Expo returns to Costa Mesa

Fur, feathers and flippers flew Saturday during the annual America’s Family Pet Expo at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.

The show, now in its 29th year, brings together an assortment of animal-centric vendors, exhibitors, experts and adoption agencies for a three-day festival.

It also features performances and other attractions, including pony rides, a tortoise petting zoo, a Sea Lion Splash Show and the Repticon reptile show and sale.

America’s Family Pet Expo continues from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive. Organizers ask that guests not bring their own pets.

General admission is $15. The cost is $13 for senior citizens, $10 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and younger. Active and retired military service members can attend at no charge with valid ID. Parking is $8.
