Died peacefully at home 23 May 2012 in Costa Mesa, CA from respiratory failure. She was born in Ogden UT 11 April 1927 to Monroe and Lizzie Mae Horsley. Married John Sanders in 1944, had 6 children. Divorced in 1962. Married Harry Probert in 1967, and moved to southern California. Lived in Fontana, Whittier, La Habra, and finally in Costa Mesa for 32 years.
She is survived by her husband Harry Probert, daughter Judy Traynor of Poway, daughter Caryn Miyawaki of Westminster, son Mike Sanders of Ogden UT, son Curt Sanders of Placentia, daughter Debbie Blasyak of Fountain Valley, son Darren Sanders of Costa Mesa, stepdaughter Jeanne Craft of Basking Ridge NJ, and stepson Jim Craft of Bigfork MT. In addition to her 6 children and 2 stepchildren, she had 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Her passions were family, square dancing, and traveling. She worked many years for several southern California newspapers, handling legal notices published in the papers.
Services followed by internment will be Thursday 31 May at 11:00 AM, at Harbor Lawn – Mt. Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary, 1625 Gisler Avenue, Costa Mesa (just south of the 405 Fwy, ½ block west of Harbor Blvd). A viewing will be at the same facility Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
