Rogers A. Severson
November 1, 1939 – March 12, 2012

Rogers Severson passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He leaves his loving wife Barbara and four wonderful children, Kathy, Mike, Laura and Mark, his devoted sister Jane, and seven grandchildren.
Rogers graduated from the University of Redlands in 1962 then worked in real estate and banking for several years. In 1978 he founded Saddleback Associates with his partner Ray Smith. Following a severe spinal cord injury in 1986 he started the SCI Special Fund to raise money for the rehabilitation of others with spinal cord injuries. He was also involved with Goodwill Industries and was a major factor in building the Goodwill Fitness Center of Orange County. Raising money for others, less fortunate than himself, became his passion for over 25 years.
Rog’s loves were his family, business and sports. He will always be remembered for his generosity, but especially for his devotion to his family, friends and his love of life. He made everything fun…so much fun!
Funeral services will be held on March 21st at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Place, Newport Beach, CA. In lieu of flowers and cards, please send contributions to the SCI Special Fund, 30398 Esperanza, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, 92688.
