Dolores J. Shaw “Dolly”

Dolly Shaw, 79, passed away October 17, 2010 at her home in Newport Beach, CA with her children at her side.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Christ Church by the Sea, 1400 W. Balboa Blvd., Newport Beach at 11:00am. Reverend Holly Reinhart-Marean will officiate.

Dolly was born June 5, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA to Irving and Frances Kramer. She grew up in Long Beach and spent summers with her parents and brother Richard at their second home on Balboa Island which established her love of the beach and ocean. Dolly married Arthur Fabian and travelled extensively with him as he served in the US Air force, even living for 2 years in England. Together they had two children.

She started her professional career as a bookkeeper, raising her family as a single mother and later became established as a professional Realtor in Newport Beach. She married Mort Shaw and they lived together on Balboa Peninsula until his passing.

Dolly enjoyed boating and travelling, spending time with friends and was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother to her immediate and extended family. Her final years were full of happiness travelling, flying and boating with her friend Bob Gibson.

She is survived by her son, David Fabian and daughter, Lori Kibbe; son-In-law Craig Kibbe and daughter-In-law Katie Fabian; step son Max Shaw and daughter-in-law Christine Shaw; and 8 grandchildren, Drew Fabian, David Fabian, Kyle Kibbe, Dylan Kibbe, Ryan Fabian, Samantha Fabian, Jake Shaw and Marlee Shaw.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in memory of Dolly to Christ Church by the Sea.
