Sherri Rodriguez, daughter of Stanley and Elinor Rodriguez, received

her doctorate of education from the University of California, Los

Angeles’ School of Education in June.

Marine 2nd Lt. Richard D. Hansen, a 1986 graduate of Mission Viejo High

School, recently completed a six-month deployment to Okinawa, Japan, with

1st Battalion, 8th Marines.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Jacinto B. Herrera, nephew of Cris B. Reeder of

Laguna, recently completed Navy basic training at the Recruit Training

Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Dr. Edward and Leslea Miller have established the Edward I. Miller

Diagnostic Ultrasound Visiting Professorship at Hoag Hospital in honor of

Dr. Miller’s 30 years of service to the hospital’s radiology department.

Tyler Nichols McClellan of Corona del Mar, son of Robert and Stephanie

McClellan, was recently named to the spring 1999 dean’s list at Choate

Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn.

Rebecca Gabrielle Sills of Corona del Mar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Andrew B. Sills, was recently named to the spring 1999 dean’s list at

Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn.

Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer C.M. Ackerlind, son of Carl and Britta

Ackerlind of Mission Viejo, recently conducted training with the U.S.

Coast Guard Cutter Point Bridge stationed in Marina del Rey. Ackerlind is

a 1975 graduate of El Toro High School.
