Flames cage Sharks

Led by the four goal scoring of Tyler Lakes, the Flames continued

their winning ways in the Norris Division Thursday by beating the Sharks,

7-3, at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

It marked the seventh time in eight matches that Lakes, his team’s

leading scorer on the season, has led the Flames in scoring.

Also getting into the scoring act were Kyle Power, who had two

goals and an assist, Alex Loeffelman with a goal, and Ryan Lien, Kyle

Rohan, and David Taylor each added an assist as the Flames continue to

led the division with a 7-1 record.

Keith Dickson scored all three of his team’s goals, and both Luke

Hamagiwa and Jarrett Powers each had as assist as the Sharks dropped

their third consecutive match and fell to 1-6.

In other games:

Hat Trix 2, Slickshoes 1

Both Mark Kosko and Justin Romers each scored once and assisted

each other’s goal as Hat Trix won its third straight outing to improve to

4-1-2.

Kyle Ball scored off a Brandon Bauman assist and goalie Mark Miller

turned away 22 shot attempts to pace the Slickshoes, who had a two-game

win streak snapped and fell to 2-4-1.

Stars 5, Red Wings 4

Single goals went to both Michael Bohn and Andrew Jackson, and

assists were recorded by both Steven Koressel and Kevin Cant as the Stars

(4-2-1) remained unbeaten in their last four games.

Cody Bertrand scored two goals and both Blake Jirges and Patrick

Watzke each scored once for the Red Wings, who dropped to 2-4-1.

Hornets 5, Roughnecks 2

Jason Moore posted four goals, and Robert Brothers scored once with

an assist as the Hornets improved to 3-2-1.

Both Travis Benson and Richard Davis each scored once and both

Kevin Ewing and Jim Martin had assists for the Roughnecks, who suffered

their third loss in succession after having opened the season with

three-straight victories.
