Blades go to the Extreme

Shaun Rakhshani knocked in four goals and the Blades remained

unbeaten on the summer season following a 7-3 victory over Extreme

Thursday at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Taylor Duc also added a pair of goals and an assist, Kevin

Kasubuchi scored once, and assists also went out to Kris Ehret, Greg

Pearce, Trevor Zantos, and Nick Haider as the Blades ran their mark to

5-0-1.

Derek Eichert, William Holzer, and Brian Murphy each scored once,

and both Eichert and Jon Wissel each had an assist for Extreme, which had

a two-game win streak snapped and fell to 3-2 overall.

In other matches:

Tsunami 5, Roadkill 2

Both Marc Lopez and Brano Bilanovic scored two goals apiece and

Justin Hunt posted a goal and assist for Tsunami, which won its third

consecutive outing to improve to 3-2 overall.

Both John Brantley and Kris Holm scored for Roadkill, which dropped

its fourth match in succession after having opened the season with a tie.

Blades 7, Roadkill 1

Vincent Umali scored two goals and added two assists, Kris Ehret

scored twice, Shaun Rakhshani, Trevor Zantos, and Nick Haider all scored

once with an assist, and goalie Casey Becking recorded 21 saves to lead

the Blades (5-0-1).

Matt Carter scored to account for the Roadkill (0-6-1) offense.

Extreme 7, Renegades 6

Matt Landon poured in three goals and also collected an assist,

Brian Murphy scored once to go along with a pair of assists, Dane Johnson

and Derek Eichert, both scored once with an assist, and goalkeeper Steve

Alvarado turned away 24 shot attempts to pace Extreme, now 4-2.

David Kirchner’s two goals and two assists led the Renegades

(1-3-2), who also received two goals and an assist from Jason Case,

single scored from both Terry Dillon and Andrew Kleinhans, and an assist

from Michael Kirchner.
