Girls tennis: Sea Kings fall
DANA POINT - Despite a three-game sweep by freshman Anne Yelsey,
Corona del Mar’s girls tennis team lost to Dana Hills in a tiebraker,
86-77, on games Tuesday.
Yelsey won 6-3, 6-2, 6-4, for the Sea Kings (1-1), while Nadia Vaughan
won 6-3, 6-3, after losing her first game, 5-7.
In doubles, Leslie Damion and Ashley Jacobson won two of their three sets
for Corona del Mar.
Coming right down to the wire, CdM, needing to win the final game for the
match, lost in the final-game 6-7 (6-8 in the tiebraker).
Next up the Sea Kings will go to Santa Ana to take on Mater Dei Thursday
at 3:15 p.m.

SINGLES - Vaughan (CdM) lost to Romm, 5-7, d. Thomson, 6-3, d. Pooler,
6-3; Yelsey (CdM) won 6-3, 6-2, 6-4; Singer (CdM) lost 3-6, won 6-3, lost
0-6.
DOUBLES - Claster-Tenerelli (CdM), lost to Reames-Calton, 2-6, lost to
DuBow, Bonowicki, 0-6, lost to Berish, Wilson, 1-6; Damion-Jacobson (CdM)
lost 6-7, won, 6-4, 6-4; Charney-Fuller (CdM) lost 2-6, 2-6, won 6-4.
