Soccer: Rush III wins two

COSTA MESA - The OC United Rush III, Girls-under-15 soccer team got

the 1999 season off to a flying start with two wins over the past

weekend.

The Rush III took on the San Juan Shorebreakers on Saturday and came

through with a 2-1 win.

Goals were scored by Allison Apodaca and Kate Younglove, while

goalkeepers Susan Mintzer and Sarah Tawalbeh were solid in net for the

Rush III.

On Sunday, the Rush III upset the Commonwealth Football Club, 5-0 with

first-half goals scored by Younglove and Sabrina Couch.

In the second half, Nichelle McRorie scored two goals and Jessica

Orozco added another on a penalty kick for the Rush III.
