Gudvagen dominates in Estancia’s 13-5 win
COSTA MESA - Estancia High’s Jenea Gudvagen turned in a perfect
performance and won her three matches without losing a game. Her
performance led the way for Estancia’s girls tennis team as it topped
visiting Fairmont 13-5, in nonleague play.
Gudvagen, who is a junior and the Eagles’ No. 1 player, defeatged all
three Fairmont singles players, 6-0. The doubles team of Paige McCormack
and Jennifer Cassity almost equaled Gudvagen’s performance. The Eagles’
duo won its first two sets, 6-0, before dropping one game against
Fairmont’s No. 3 team in a 6-1 victory. Estancia improves to 2-2.
