Logan Martina rushed for 241 yards and four touchdowns on just 18

carries, and the Huntington Beach Dolphins collected their second victory

in three games this season with a 40-6 out of the Mission Viejo Cowboys

in a Junior All-American Football Jr. Pee Wee Division game.

Martina’s rushing output was part of a 408 offensive package

amassed by the Dolphins, who improved to 2-1 overall.

Martina scored on runs covering 40, 43, 52, and 65 yards, and

scored the game’s first two touchdowns.

In addition, Willie Fiscus III rushed for 127 yards on just seven

carries, with 60 of those yards coming on a fourth quarter touchdown run.

Three other running backs, Ceseare Nieto, Nick Feldman, and Justin

Dawson, contributed to the Dolphins’ 362 yards rushing.

After Martina’s two rushing touchdowns, Dolphin quarterback Brian

Shrock hooked up with Shane Keating on a 40-yard pass play to up

Huntington Beach’s lead to 20-0 at the half.

Mission Viejo scored first in the second half to narrow its

deficit to 20-6, but the Dolphins shut down the Cowboys the rest of the

way.

Fiscus powered a stiff defense with 14 tackles and a pair of

fumble recoveries.

Linebackers Trevor Engel, Cody Ries, Barrett Sheldon, and Nick

Schoenmann each gave a solid performance for the Dolphins.

‘We overcame some third quarter mistakes and put together a great

game,’ Huntington Beach Coach Dave Small said. ‘The players were able to

regain their focus and I’m proud of the way the team played, especially

our offensive line.’

The Dolphins travel to Corona High Saturday to face the Corona

Panthers in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
